Our Rookies visited Home Farm to find out all about preparing meat.
The trainees took a tour of the free-range farm, where they learnt about everything from animal feeds and measuring the pigs, to preparing the meat. Their butchery skills were also put to the test when our recruits prepped the meat, made the sausages and cooked them ready to be judged by 16 Hospitality’s senior team!
The Hub is our in-house training programme which runs across all 16 Hospitality sites. This Rookie training day saw ten trainees from The Crown, The Oyster Catcher and The White Eagle attend to understand the process of how the food is produced before it even reaches the kitchen.
